Coaching and Mentoring, Supervision

A certified coach with many years of mentoring and supervision experience under his belt, Tony offers professional, tailored one-to-one services, supporting managers and leaders to become more effective and realise more of their potential, professionally and personally.

Overview

Changing Mindz coaching supports individuals in senior, middle and frontline leadership, managerial and developmental roles, providing "help and support to…enable them to develop their skills, improve their performance and maximise their potential."(CIPD, 2011)

A seasoned practitioner with excellent ‘people’ skills, Tony is a creative, collaborative coach with a practical and pragmatic approach.

Simply put, Tony assists coaching clients to assess their current situation, identify goals and strengths, explore blocks (e.g. self-defeating beliefs, ‘lack of time’), acknowledge strengths, explore options, make commitments and effect change.

What kinds of change?

According to the CIPD coaching survey (2011), the most common reasons businesses and employers give for using coaching are:

  • To improve individual performance
  • To address underperformance
  • To Improve productivity
  • For career-planning, personal development...

Why coaching: what does it involve?

Supervision

Changing Mindz (external) Supervision is a professional service (based on Shohet and Hawkins Supervision model) for managers and sole workers in human services. A complement to line management arrangements, Supervision has three essential elements;

  • Reflection and restoration
  • Development and growth; e.g. knowledge, skills, attitudes, behaviours, new perspectives…
  • Support and sustenance

Please Note
We offer face-to-face meetings with individuals who live in or near to and/or who are prepared to travel to or near the Edinburgh area. For individuals who live further afield, Skype video calls or telephone coaching (while recognising their limitations) are a cost-conscious option.
